Our Wax
Carven Beeswax Candles are handcrafted from 100% pure beeswax, sourced directly from beekeepers in Manitoba, Canada. The wax, which is scraped off the honey cells during the honey harvesting process, is filtered and formed into large blocks. Upon receiving the beeswax, we filter it again to ensure high clarity and remove any remaining debris that could affect the candle's performance. As a naturally occurring by-product of food pollination and honey collection, beeswax is the most environmentally friendly candle wax available.
Natural Variations
Beeswax varies in color from pale beige to dark caramel, influenced by the bees' foraging, season, and location. While we strive for consistency, natural color variation is to be expected and appreciated in our products.
Pearl Beeswax
Beeswax is naturally white before it mixes with pollen and propolis in the hive, giving it the golden color seen in typical beeswax candles. Our Pearl beeswax is made by filtering out these elements, and like golden beeswax, it has natural variations.
Each of our candles features a carefully selected wick, chosen based on the candle’s style, size, and burn characteristics. We test burn every candle to ensure the wick provides a complete burn without creating too large of a flame. All our wicks are made from high-quality 100% cotton, with no lead or zinc cores, ensuring a safe and enjoyable burning experience with Carven Beeswax Candles.
